Meet McEnroe
Yes…We have a dog. My kids hve been asking for years “Can we have a dog? Please? Please?” And I have said for years “Probably never”. But when my friend ask me if I would take him, how could I resist? He’s so little and so cute. Just look at that face! I did have to convince Jeff. I sounded like the kids “Please can we keep him? I’ll feed him and take him for walks”. He finally agreed. His only requirement? He got to name him!
What should I be today?
This is what Dirk wanted to wear this morning. He is a secret agent/pirate. Couldn’t you guess?

Our church rents this sweet little amusement park for our all church picnic. We wouldn’t miss it.

Bloging
Here I am. Up late. Bloging. Posting mine. Catching up on my friends blogs ( and their friends blogs). I realize something…I know (or am acquainted with) some pretty amazing people. I have friends who can photograph their children in such a way it can make you want to cry, other friends can write about subjects so deep and thought provoking with words so beautiful and eloquent. I am learning that my friends are incredible mothers, so wise and godly they could write books or advice columns. Friends who are crafty and imaginative. Where do they find the time? And do their children know how blessed they are to have such fun mothers? I love that I get to peek into the lives of my friends and I feel blessed to know all of you. You have added to my life.

Pictures of Michigan
Here are a few pictures from when Jeff took the kids to Michigan. I have nothing to say about it because, regretably, I was not there. My Summer is somehow incomplete. I love the lazy week we spend there and the way Jeff’s parents home feels like someplace I would read about in a novel, the way the my kids turn golden brown, and the way the lake looks first thing in the morning. I missed being with family and pushing my neices on the long rope swing. Next Summer I’ll know what I missed. (click on the pics to enlarge)
